I Enjoy Reading

There's nothing quite like a quiet morning — an open book in my lap, a journal beside me, and the sound of water nearby. For me, reading isn't just a pastime. It's where I find peace, wisdom, and renewal.

A Quiet Place

Some of my sweetest moments happen away from the noise. Just me, my Bible, my journal, and a still place to sit. In a world that never stops moving, reading gives me permission to slow down — to breathe, to reflect, and to listen.

The picture above captures it perfectly: pages filled with handwritten thoughts, scripture close by, and creation all around. That's my happy place.

More Than Words on a Page

Reading feeds me in ways nothing else can. It:

  • Grounds me — starting my day in the Word sets my heart in the right direction.

  • Grows me — every page teaches me something about life, people, or myself.

  • Restores me — quiet time with a good book washes away the weight of a busy week.

  • Inspires me — what I read often becomes what I write, share, and live out.

And journaling turns reading into conversation. I don't just take words in — I write my thoughts, prayers, and lessons down so I can return to them again and again.

Wisdom Worth Keeping

I've learned that the things we read shape the way we think, and the way we think shapes the way we live. That's why I choose what I read carefully — words that build up, truth that lasts, and stories that point me toward hope.

An Invitation

If life has been loud lately, here's my gentle challenge: find a quiet spot, pick up a book that feeds your soul, and give yourself thirty unhurried minutes. Bring a journal. Write down what stirs in you.

You may sit down tired — but you'll get up refreshed.

Reading is one of the simple joys that keeps my heart full. I hope you'll make a little room for it in your life too.
